PAVONE AG Joins IBM’s ISV Advantage Initiative

PAVONE AG Joins IBM’s ISV Advantage Initiative to Help SMB Customers in industry independent businesses Companies to Offer Open, e-business on Demand Solutions

Paderborn, Germany, 02/03/2004 – PAVONE AG, a leading provider of team-oriented business solutions for project, workflow and knowledge management, has joined IBM’s ISV Advantage Initiative, a program designed to provide independent software vendors (ISVs) with technical and marketing support to help meet the specific information technology (IT) needs of small and medium business (SMB) companies. Customers are seeking solutions that help them better integrate processes and applications internally and externally and allow them to quickly respond to changing market opportunities on demand.

In addition to Internet compliant standard tools for project, workflow and knowledge management as well as business intelligence, PAVONE develops team-orientated business solutions using PAVONE Enterprise Office, PAVONE Sales, PAVONE CRM, PAVONE Project Management, PAVONE Supply Chain Management and PAVONE KnowledgeGateway®. Having excellent qualifications from customers and superior products by design, PAVONE also focuses on consulting and training.

Enabling the PAVONE products on IBM Lotus Notes and IBM WebSphere software running on Linux will help PAVONE expand into the SMB market faster and more effectively than is possible with proprietary platforms.

"The ISV Advantage program is another logical step to show our commitment to IBM. Having one of our core solutions, PAVONE CRM, based on IBM software will help us win SMB customers," says Jürgen Zirke CEO of PAVONE AG.

PAVONE CRM is an industry independent and groupware-based solution which can be immediately installed for process-oriented customer relationship management. The office components of PAVONE CRM support routine work in the office environment, such as address administration, correspondence as well as document management and archiving.

“Access to open-standards based products on which to build cost effective solutions is crucial to medium-sized businesses,” said Lesley Norris, director of ISV & Developer Relations, IBM EMEA. “We are pleased that PAVONE AG has joined ISV Advantage, committing to IBM as a partner of choice to help meet the needs of our customers.”

The IBM WebSphere family includes products that are designed and priced specifically for small and medium businesses -- easy to install and manage, scalable to grow with a business, rich in functionality, and based on open standards to allow integration with existing software and hardware platforms.

PAVONE AG will also work closely with IBM to expand its visibility in target vertical industries through various co-marketing and sales activities.

ISV Advantage is administered by PartnerWorld for Developers, the developer resource for IBM Business Partners. It is a worldwide program designed to help software developers reach broader markets, lower their costs of doing business, and take their products to market faster.
