By regulations of the European Union it is necessary that every agreement for sale of a house / flat contains an energy rating of the real estate starting from 2007. Today we know such an energy class rating from refrigerators or washing machines, they are classified in energy levels A to F.
This is one of the scopes of the British National Energy Foundation and their subsidiary National Energy Services Limited (NES Ltd.). Up to now energy surveys were filled by energy consultants at the customer's home. These were calculated by NES. Now the real estate owners can collect the required information in a web application and then receive information how to lower the energy consumption.
PAVONE has implemented an infrastructure based on J2EE that makes the handling of the calculation process easier and faster. The resulting information is specific to the customer's needs and expert advice gives hints for the optimal energy efficiency of their flats and houses. The system is realised based on IBM WebSphere 5 and IBM DB2.
